I'd be the first to admit that my attention span is like that of a child in a toy store.... I get into something and just like that *clicks his fingers*, hes bored and moves onto something else to satisfy his creative thirst.... Its annoying when you just can't find the right way to express this creativity.... This is part of the reason I gave up bloggin...
In the time between my last post and this one, I took up guitar again.... put it down.... tried keyboard.... put it down and then onto photography, which didn't last long either.... Frustrating to say the least. Back to blogging...
Its been an eventful month or so. I've been on a few dates, been to a major concert, walked miles and miles for charity and been on telly....In between all these events was just boring nights in on my xbox and computer... so I'll skip to the highlights... FF
The concert I mentioned was an Oasis concert in Heaton Park in Manchester, said to be one of their biggest concerts to date, but I doubt it. I'm sure somewhere along the lines they've had a bigger one. Anyways, I went with three other friends and it was set to be a full day of booze, good music and good times. It started off well, with me meeting my friends at the train station. Well.. apart from me panicing, as I always do, about what to take, whether I'll need everything apart from the kitchen sink. I was convinced in the end to just bring myself and money. Some git who we went with, a big headed twit (I didn't bother remembering his name) took every opportunity to make me the butt of all his jokes.. I took them all on the chin, but secretly wanted to maim him.
We got there and waited, along with 70,000 plus people to enter the park. We were some of the first to gain entry and as a result got a extra special yellow band to let us into the front of the concert area. Judging by the size of the concert, I was told later on this was not easy and I felt quite good about it later on. We got there and proceeded to the front where there was litte room to set camp, but we made do litterally sitting on a few other concert goers to get a good spec. The beer at the place was over £3, that put the biggest dent in my wallet that day. I must have had over 15 pints, so thats like £45 wasted on beer lol
On first was Reverand and the Makers, a nifty band from Manchester I think and then Kasabian was on from Leicester. They both rocked and we had a merry ole time. Oasis though, was what we came for. By the time they came on it was 9pm, and we had been there since 1pm. The time had come.... They started playing Rock N Roll Star..... but then STOPPED! we were like "wha??". They stormed offstage and left us all to wonder what happened. We waited about an hour for a reappearance greated with messages on the screens saying there were problems with the generators. They eventually came back on and said it was a free concert for everyone... FREE CONCERT did i hear you say? yup a free concert. We were all over the moon. Not only did we get a full days worth of good concert, but it was free! SCORE!. lol All in all a good day I'd say. I've sent my ticket off for a refund and should be receiving it shortly.
The being on telly.... well that was just a few seconds on a local news show. Take a look below 0.29 seconds into the vid. I'm the one with the black n white striped top singing with his friends Champagne Supernova.... how cool?
Apart from that really good concert. I went on a few dates. One lasted more then one day, which I was made up with, but at the end of it all, she wanted to just be friends. Fair play. We met while I was out on the town with my usual drinking bud James and a new addition Chris, who is from Runcorn, a neighbouring town. We met some girls and had a good laugh, at James expense too. We called him Stifler, because he just acts too desperately when drunk, which i found out when looking at him from off the dancefloor. lol Maybe thats why i've been unlucky pulling in the past dancing around with James... i dunno. Anyways, we swapped numbers at the end of the night and agreed to meet up a few days later. We met up in a nice bar in town called the Imperial and had a good conversation and I was a good listener and stuff. Maybe I wasn't her type... with her being a sylisimo hair stylist and me just being a grungy rocker.. I dunno. She text me the next day, that she just wanted to be friends (translated as, we probably wont see each other again) great lol
Onto the charity walk, it was from Whitchurch to Bickerton.... some unknown countryside villages 15 miles apart. The day was fun but painful... I saw some amazing views and had a laugh with work colleagues. But its safe to say I won't be doing anything like that again for a while.. lol
