The Weekend Report

The weekend started off as per usual. Came home on Friday, went on net and had a little play on COD4, then sleep time.

Come Saturday, i set about getting everything and everyone ready for the cinema outing. My nephew, Conah said he'd go as well and bring a friend along. So sat around mostly waiting on them, then got the bus over to Runcorn, a neighbouring town where the nearest cinema is. Met up with Toffa and Katie, who are close friends and had a few drinks. Warm beer, yuck, but a beers a beer. Had a chit chat with them then made our way to the film. Me being a devious old soul, bought some sweets the day before so i wouldn't have to pay extortionate prices for sweets at the cinema. Had fun trying to hide and get them into the cinema lol

Normally i hate the trailers, but this time i was rooted to my seat. Trailer after trailer of amazing films, The Hulk, Indy 4, Batman. It was a good start. The film then started and from the word go, it had me hooked. Amazing action sequences, amazing acting by Jeff Bridges, Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow and laugh out loud humour to boot. Iron Man was by far the best film i have seen in ages.

Enough of that anyways, i could go on forever about how much i loved the film. After the film, i went to my exs because i was minding the kids overnight. Got there and the house was a tip, Rhys and other children were running about in the garden without supervision and i was greeted by Kay with a stern face and an icy look. After giving me all the usual info, baby feeds, food for Rhys and so on, they quickly left and i had the run of the house. Was unusual being back in the house, soon felt as though i hadn't left at all. The kids were amazingly well behaved and it was apparent from Kallams smiles and Rhys hugs, that they missed me a lot. Kallam missed me so much that even when going to the kitchen he cried and wailed. It breaks my heart to see him sad.

As soon as the kids went to bed, i set about searching for items of mine that i had left behind. I soon had three bags full of DVDs and stuff, which weighed a ton, but wanted them out of the house.

The next morning, i had planned to go the park with the kids, but low and behold, the weather wasn't cooperating, so we stayed in, watched films and just basic playing about. At about 4pm, i started to worry kay wasn't going to be back in time for me to catch a bus home, and i was right to worry, she didn't return till after 6pm, which left me no option but to phone a friend who lived nearby to ask if i could sleep over at theirs. They said i could anytime. They are Mike and Shelle, known them for about two years now and are brilliant.

When setting off to theirs i remembers i hadn't brought my big coat and just had my jacket. So theres me, getting soaked, carrying bags, which were in turn getting wet. Felt quite sorry for myself, but kept ploughing on regardless.

Got there, was welcomed and dried off. Played on Mike's xbox, watched a film and went to bed. Only one thing spoiled the night. .... nasty texts from Kay, suppose i started it. After a few beers, i text asking her whether she was going to tell me the real reason she split with me and as predicted she went on about how the love had gone and that i didn't do nothing around the house. I'd have expected a bigger reason to split, break up a family and deprive a father from seeing his son. I asked further questions about the flirty texts i had found earlier that month on her friends sim card, he accidentally left in his phone that he gave to me. Well that just made her send a series of abusive texts... She kept saying get over it and that i am a loser, which all knocked my confidence, but with friends around, i quickly got over it.

Maybe its best to move on, accept that things are over, and stop searching for answers to questions that i am just not going to get anytime soon. Everyone says i had a lucky escape and i couldn't agree more.

That's the blog for today. Will update later, most probably containing more waffling on, random moaning and expressiveness.

The following song suits the mood right now. Enjoy.

All American Rejects - Move Along lyrics

Lyrics

Go ahead as you waste your days with thinking
When you fall everyone stands
Another day and you've had your fill of sinking
With the life held in your...
Hands are shaking cold
These hands are meant to hold

Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know ya do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
Move along

So a day when you've lost yourself completely
Could be a night when your life ends
Such a heart that will lead you to deceiving
All the pain held in your...
Hands are shaking cold
Your hands are mine to hold

Speak to me, when all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through
Move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
[ Move Along lyrics found on http://www.completealbumlyrics.com ]

When everything is wrong, we move along
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
When everything is wrong, we move along
(Along) along (along) along (along) along

When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through

When all you got to keep is strong
Move along, move along like I know you do
And even when your hope is gone
Move along, move along just to make it through

(Move along)
(Go on, go on, go on, go on)
Right back what is wrong
We move along

Sounds like a good weekend overall. Eventhough the stay at your mates wasn't planned, maybe the time out did you good.

It isn't nice when ex partners scramble your brains about, you two will learn to live in some kind of "harmony" at some point. Even if it's just false smiles for the kids, it works.

Can't believe she didnt come home until 6pm. I'm always home the same night. You should have a word and make sure she is home the same night or next morning. You could always take the kids out somewhere the next day to keep them out her face but staying out that long isn't fair on you.
