Socal Experiment 1

After the last blog, like I said I would, I went out that night on a night out to a gig and an after drink with people I know. While there I tried to create conversations and "come out of my shell" so to speak. To sum it up, I found myself subconciously concentrating on the music then anyone else i realised afterwards. I did at times stand by people, but lacking the confidence to go all the way and talk about things, "small talk". As the night went on, i ate myself from within getting frustrated and isolating myself more... felt really pathetic..

So, after failing dismally when experimenting on trying to socialise. I got a taxi home and left it at that. Took a test today to discover a bit more about the way i am. here are the results.

hhmm, I'm a INFP....wooo!..... wait there..... whats an INFP??? well, heres what personality.info says about it:

"INFPs are introspective, private, creative and highly idealistic individuals that have a constant desire to be on a meaningful path. They are driven by their values and seek peace. Empathetic and compassionate, they want to help others and humanity as a whole. INFPs are imaginitive, artistic and often have a talent for language and writing. They can also be described as easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal."

Fair enough, that seems to describe me to a tee. the paragraph above doesn't seem to explain much, the only sign of introvertism seems to be from the graph that came with it, saying i'm 73% introvert. Thats quite high. Wish i wasn't so. Apparently, there are many famous people just like me. To name a few: J. R. R. Tolkien - author of Lord of the Rings and other cool books (coool, so far,so good), Scott Bakula - from Quantum Leap, Enterprise (fabby, hes amazing), and lisa kudrow - famous for staring in Friends. So, it seems even though amongst other things, their introvertism hasn't hindered them, but in fact they seem to have overcome it or found out how to live with it. Maybe being shy and inward is something i will just have to accept as something i have and live with it. Its not like a mental illness, so thats all right with me. Maybe if i accept that its not a crippling mental illness, i will in turn become more self-confident.

Anyways, look at the other characteristics.. creative, highly idealistic, empathic, compassionate, easygoing, selfless, guarded, adaptable, patient and loyal. Sounds like me. Thats me in a nutshell. Hello! nice to meetyou.

You all can do your personality test at http://www.personality.info. Well worth a check if you wanna discover yourself.

As for goings on, i had the kids at weekend, had a great day. Went park and to see friends, and to a kids place called Sues Madhouse. It has a great play frame for kids (and is amazing for adults to go chasing kids in as well). Couldn't go in it this time though, had to look after Kallam instead. Rhys seemed to have fun though. Below is a photo of it. Doesn't it look massive!

So after a hectic day i went home and rested the entire night. Thats about it. will update some other time. Ciao!

I like those personality things, I think they can be really accurate too. Watch my blog for one as am gonna do one l8a!!

Dont let yourself feel down over social experiment #1. It all comes with time. You just need to meet the right people who make you feel comfortable in their company. It isn't just a case of talking to anyone always.

My offer still stands anyhooooo :o)
